Empowerment through Livelihoods — Pakistan & KPK

Across Pakistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), countless widows, disabled individuals, and vulnerable families continue to struggle with unemployment, rising living costs, and limited access to sustainable income opportunities.

SVH aims to empower vulnerable households with practical tools that allow them to earn a dignified and stable livelihood.

This project focuses on two simple but high-impact interventions:

  1. Providing industrial sewing machines to widows so they can begin tailoring and garment work from home.

  2. Providing rickshaws to disabled and vulnerable men so they can generate daily income and support their families independently.

The impact of these tools extends beyond a single individual — often supporting entire families including children, elderly parents, and dependents.

Conflict and instability continue to devastate communities across Sudan. Families struggle to survive amid shortages of food, clean water, and basic necessities. With over 150,000 lives lost and more than 8.8 million people displaced, the situation becomes increasingly dire, with the UN declaring it one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises.

SVH is working tirelessly with our partners on the ground to deliver food packages and hygiene kits to families from El Fashur, who have been forced to flee to Khartoum, Kassala, and the Blue Nile. El Fashur, the capital of North Darfur, has been especially targeted by the RSF.

  • $40 provides a food package for a family of five for two weeks

  • $24 provides a hygiene kit for a family

  • $64 sponsors both a food and hygiene package

  • Psychosocial support sessions led by trained facilitators

  • Educational activities to address learning gaps

  • Life-skills development

  • Recreational and sports activities

  • Creative arts sessions

  • Daily nutritious hot meals

  • Child-protection monitoring and ongoing evaluation

Rebuilding Hope in Gaza

The people of Gaza have lived through unimaginable hardship. Families have endured loss, hunger, displacement, and fear on a scale few of us can comprehend.

From the very beginning of this conflict, SVH/Hidden Humanity stood beside the people of Gaza.

With your support, we have delivered over 100,000 hot meals to hungry families, built eight refugee camps in both the North and South to shelter those who lost everything, distributed food and hygiene kids to thousands, and provided winter blankets and clothing.

Now, for the first time in a long time, there is a fragile ceasefire. SVH/Hidden Humanity is launching a new campaign to help rebuild the lives of the people of Gaza and provide assistance during this critical period of recovery by establishing temporary schools and medical clinics and continuing to provide hot meals, food packages, and basic necessities.
